The ARS super turbocut raker tooth saw features a 12-1/2-inch straight blade and a rubber padded handle for added comfort. Unlike conventional saw teeth which are filed and alternately bent, the ARS blade is taper ground, and each tooth is honed to a precise knife-edge sharpness. The tri-edge tooth design allows for easy cutting on the pull. The unit's incredibly sharp patented blade will produce remarkably clean cuts every time, and is made from hard chrome-plated steel for extra toughness and rust resistance. These are the best pruning saws made!! I have had one for 10 years and am now replacing it. They are also available with 9" and 10" blades which may be more useful for some people. You can also get replacement blades for less than half the price of the complete saw. However, these other sizes and blades are not available on Amazon (they should be) as the 9" blade is actually the most useful for most people. These saws are relatively expensive but are worth it!

Very sharp, very high quality. Cuts on the pull stroke. Just one caveat- the blade is extremely thin and flexible, so in spite of it's length, you will have trouble cutting heavier limbs because of the flexibilty on the push stroke. So for lighter work, it is excellent.
