Product works fairly well but have to free line from spool too often because of how line is wound on spool.

Works great but not enough line Jul 16, 2010

I love my Black and Decker line trimmer with the two lines. It really takes down those weeds! thing is I've always re-wound my own spools and it's almost impossible with this unit. So I bought 6 of these spools. Problem is they don't last very long before your replacing it again and they are expensive. I'm down to one now and I'm determined to figure out how to wind my own spools. If I can't do that I'm going back to my old trimmer and using this only occasionally.

By D. McDuff B&D prewound string works much better then trying to wind your own.I used to wind my own and had to stop working often because of foul-ups on the reel. It is very reliable although much more expensive. It lasts quite a long time as long as you don't beat it against the concrete sidewalk as you are edgeing, as I do the neighbors lawns,(6)about once a week.

A Rip-Off As Always Jun 21, 2010
By J. Jozsa Black & Decker weed whips are convenient and easy to use with their whip cartridges. HOWEVER, if you use the edging functions like I do, you will quickly go through all your line. I have a very small yard and I go through one cartridge every time I mow my lawn. That can get expensive. Also, should your cartridge become unwound for some reason, you can forget about rewinding it to pre-screw-up tightness. With the whip wound in two different directions on top and bottom, the process requires the hand dexterity of a knitting champion.
