the string in this replacement spool isnt strong enough. I use a spool every time I edge. It breaks off. I am very displeased with this iteam. Plus you cant buy it from a local store.

I don't agree with the previous review. My spool has lasted 2 summers. However it sometimes slides back into the holes and quits trimming, so I have to stop and rewind it. It may be that I'm winding it wrong in the first place. But it does the job fine. Besides, as far as I know there is no alternative spool for this trimmer so what difference does it make? I love the trimmer itself. I don't know how I got along without it.

This replacement spool doesn't hold much string. This spool holds very little string, most of the time you have to be replacing string when using the trimmer.

And I thought it was my poor wrapping from bulk string to the hub that was the problem. This factory wrapped hub that is touted as being a solution to the problems is not. I can trust my skill at wrapping the string to the hub to the factory item any time. And the money cost will be less. I will not recommend this item.
