Brush Cutter Attachment Jun 02, 2009
By Ronald Ungashick I have had my Troy Bilt with the Brush Cutter attachment and several other attachments. The trimmer and brush cutter attachments have performed exceedingly well. The brush cutter has no difficulty cutting through brush and small trees up to 1 inch in diameter. It may cut bigger but I have not attempted it. I have had absolutely no trouble with the engine or these two attachments. The tiller attachment is a little hard to use but still performed. I have purchased several other trimmers in the past and this one beats them all. I have never had any trouble starting it either. I would highly recommend it.

Great for 20 minutes Mar 15, 2008
By Jeffrey Morton This product worked wonderfully for the 20 minutes that it worked. I bought several different troy-bilt attachments for my string trimmer, and all of them except the string trimmer itself have failed. This product, like all of the troy-bilt attachments, seems to have a collar swaged onto the drive shaft that is probably intended to prevent damage to the motor head if you hit a rock. The problem is that instead of giving way only under imminent damage, vibration allows it to move and causes the drive shaft to lose contact with the motor head. Permanently. (Or at least until you repair it.) Also, you can't go back and reattach it because it will just move again in a few minutes.

Works as Intended Dec 15, 2010
By Bob I bought this to cut down an overgrown area of our lake lot. It works very good for stems about the size of my thumb and smaller. Small trees, wild grape vines, fountain grass, etc. didn't stand a chance. I tried to use it on diameters larger than an inch and it didn't really do a good job. But then, that's why they make loppers.
One has to replace the string trimmers handle with a J-handle and it included a shoulder strap, both needed additions. They also include a hanger for what ever attachment isn't being used.
Overall, I am glad I bought it.
total waste Feb 04, 2012
By Randall Thornton I got this to take down some brush in the back yard. This doesn't even have an edge on the blade. You can sit there for 20 min sawing away at the same piece of brush. Your better off using a cheap set of loppers you can get at Menards.
Not very pleased Sep 07, 2011
By Tinkerj105 It took a long time and in the end it is weak and not sharp. That is what I don't understand at all about it it doesn't cut
