Not bad... May 31, 2010
By alexei27
"...tryin to reason with hurricane season..."
I have only used this once thus far...but it seems fine.
Shipping was about 4 days...not bad for standard free shipping.
The trimmer itself is fairly cheap plastic and feels a little flimsy, but what you would expect for around $30.
The plastic guard was a little difficult to assemble because the tabs were cut a little off. I trimmed one down a bit and it snapped right into place. Don't try forcing it...it looked like it would break.
Operationally this thing does the job. It has a dual string feed so it rips through weeds and grass quickly. It is nice and light.
One other thing...the bump feed is very sensitive. So if you are trying to cut weeds right against the ground, you'll use a lot of line because anytime you even lightly touch the feed knob...it goes!!
Overall not bad for the price.
Not usable Mar 29, 2011
By Michael Dorris The trimmer guard simply doesn't fit -- at least on mine, it's not an issue with the interlock tabs, the trimmer just does not fit into the aperture of the trimmer guard. Furthermore, the screws that are supposed to be included to secure the trimmer guard (could it be attached) weren't included.
Furthermore, the product comes with a helpful "DO NOT RETURN" placard, instead directing you to call a Customer No-Service number.
I wasn't looking for anything heavy-duty -- I just need some light occasional use and didn't want to spend that much money. This product just isn't usable as is.
Good deal Nov 10, 2010
By R. Yu This trimmer is a fantastic value for less than $17. There were a couple of issues though. First, like the other guy, I had to trim the tabs on the plastic guard to get it to fit. Second, there was supposed to be a screw to attach the plastic guard to the main apparatus. This screw was missing from the box (though the plastic guard seems secure enough without the screw).
Yeah, the trimmer is relatively small and probably doesn't have commercial durability. However, it works fine for small to medium jobs and is dirt cheap, so it's hard to go wrong here.
Good Trimmer for the price Oct 05, 2010

This is a good trimmer for the price. It's a little short but its not really an issue. The trimmer cuts my grass perfectly fine but I wish it had a slightly larger trimmer. It's great for small to medium jobs. Very powerful motor but don't expect it to cut 2 foot tall grass or brush.
Does not edge very well, but then again that is not it's purpose.
