This trimmer head is a little bit more hands on than some might like, but for me it beats having to remove the trimmer head cover every 3 minutes to separate melted together line. When my weed trimmer bit the dust, I saved my trimmer head so that I could use it on my new trimmer. In the years since I purchased my old B & D trimmer they have changed almost all of the heads to a different size or shape from what my Weed Warrior was made to fit. Finally found a trimmer that still used the older shape. I don't know if the newer Weed Warrior will have the same problems or if they have included an adapter for the newer shaped heads. Very good product and has held up very well to weekly use.
