This Blade is Required for PP550 - Generics/Universals Don't Fit Sep 12, 2009

Just a note that blades sold at the big box home improvement stores as "universal" or "one size fits all" unfortunately will not work on the Weedeater (made by Poulan) PP550 edger. This edger requires a blade with a smaller diameter hole and a hole with one flat side (sort of a D-shaped hole). Learned through firsthand experience.
Also, remember when removing the old blade that the nut securing the blade in place is reverse threaded, so it's Righty-Loosey Lefty-Tighty.

Lasts for years. This part is the exact part needed for the Weed Eater edger, and was not carried by the local stores, even though they still sold the Edger. The other standard replacement blades did not fit, so don't even try.
