GOOD BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Feb 17, 2008

"AMAZON BUYER"
AS A LANDSCAPER I OWN 2 OF THESE AND WE USE THEM HARD. IT IS NOT A COMMERCIAL TRIMMER, BUT ITS AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET. FOR THE MONEY YOU CANT FIND ANOTHER TRIMMER LIKE THIS ONE. I GOT MY LAST ONE THROUH AMAZON, ON SALE FOR 120 DOLLARS AND SHOULD HAVE PURCHASED MORE OF THEM AT THAT TIME. BY THE WAY THIS IS THE SAME TRIMMER AS THE POULAN 22 INCH, 25CC...FOR ABOUT 30-50 DOLLARS LESS. BOTH ARE MADE AND OWNED BY THE SAME COMPANY.

Works well, but cheap construction and some design flaws Jun 28, 2006
By qualsite I should have bought a gas hedge trimmer years ago! A great tool. So far no problems with this unit, except for some design problems. The most annoying is the choke lever, which sticks out and always gets pulled into the choke position by the hedges or trees and kills the engine. Also, the construction is almost all plastic, and I'm very apprehensive about longevity. I saw the the Troy-Bilt after buying the Weed Eater, and it looks like a much beefier unit, bigger blade, with a lot of metal and better thought-out controls, and for only about $20 more.

A Little Heavy Sep 08, 2008
By H. Wang With the gas hedger, I didn't had to deal with electric cord. It's important to follow the direction when cranking. The hedger does gets heavy after a while, I have a lot of bushes around my house. Earplugs are a must, it gets loud. Had it for 4 months, so far no problems.

No more electric extension cord Mar 27, 2010
By D. Sherry I found the other reviews to be fairly accurate, this trimmer is not for commercial use. It works above and beyond my Black & Decker electric trimmer, and no long elec. cord to drag n cut. The choke lever issue (bumping it on) is easily fixed with trimming it shorter. (it's plastic). For an Economical cordless trimmer, the Weed Eater GHT225 works for the jobs I need done at home.

unhappy camper - don't buy this Oct 14, 2011
By David Jones I am a residential owner and only used this for personal home use, not commercial use. I had owned a weed eater before - had worked fine. I bought another one. It was used about 6-7 times, light use. Then it tore itself up and completely broke free from the motor mounts - completely useless. I wrote to the company to see if they would back up the warranty (they don't offer online email so I used snail mail). That was three months ago and I have heard nothing back. They do not back their products and the product is a complete and total waste of money. Don't buy this, invest a little more and get a better unit from a better manufacturer. I wish I had done that the first time. DON'T BUY THIS!!!!!!! IT IS WORTHLESS!!!!!
