Darn good for thirty bucks Sep 14, 2009
By Alex Fielding I bought this unit because the more powerful one was said to vibrate and i didn't want to spend the extra money. the older version of this doesnt have the edge feature which i really wanted. to my surprise, this updated one does. i really love this weed eater. i use it mostly for edging the lawn and it works really great. it will eat line faster than you can say trip to home depot but that is the only downside. it is plenty powerful and cuts through the dirt very well when edging. it is easy to use and not too heavy. best thirty dollars i have spent for the yard in a long time

Weed Eater Plastic Defect Jul 31, 2009
By Traveller The best words to use about this weed eater that it is a defective plastic machine. Within the first 15 minutes of use, the plastic shield broke. The tap and go head did not work. In other words, the spool line would not feed new line. Every time the line broke, the head had to be pulled out and the line had to be manually fed through the eyelet. Do not waste your time ordering a product that will not last. The 2 year warranty will never be honored since it will die within a few uses and the return shipping fee to the manufacturer will exceed the original purchase price. This product is a plastic disaster. The only metal in the machine is the pole and the spring.

don't buy this trimmer Sep 13, 2009

I owned a Weed Eater trimmer for years. Did a great job. I loved it. It finally wore out, so I thought another Weed Eater would do the trick. Boy, was I wrong. Like a previous reviewer's experience the line would not feed through the hole, it was incredibly loud and I found it to be heavy and bulky to use. Only used it one time. Can't wait to take it back.

Don't by Weed Eater RTE112C! Aug 09, 2009

I've had a short honeymoon with this product. The plastic shield broke during the second time I used it and it is too costly to ship the trimmer back to the manufacturer. IMO Amazon should contact the vendor on behalf of their customers arrange warranty replacements. I'm certain that everyone who purchased this product shared the exact same defect. Not a good experience at all!
